NFRS

Web Design | Branding | Marketing

NFRS (later renamed to NFC) are camps geared toward providing football players with an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the top academic colleges and universities in the country. I was contacted with their ‘big-idea’ and their goal. They needed to brand, launch and operate a successful football camp within 5 months. I designed their logo, marketing material, website and managed their intake form that received over 250 candidates.

CHALLENGE:

Lack of time was the largest obstacle during this project. All design and technology needed to be complete to start processing attendees. For the camp to run as smoothly as possible I was constantly testing. This was a serious investment for both the young athletes and their parents/guardians. Many traveled from around the country so the brand and website needed to look and function professionally.

GOALS:

  • All designs finalized and printed at least two months before the camp start date.

  • A fully operational website that can successfully handle multiple registrations on launch.

  • Automated processes in place to contact parents, coaches, and players.

SOLUTIONS:

The logo is using a customized font as a strong logotype, along with colors that embodied power and energy. I intertwined the red and black colors for the rest of the marketing material while adding dark blues as a third, background color. A custom form is used to gather data, allowing users to upload and edit their submissions. This data was later parsed to accurately sign-in all players for this two-day camp. I worked closely with the owner to tackle each problem individually before moving forward. Proper planning and time management helped reduce stress and hit our target launch date.
